Read some information on Project Atlantic Vortex model (Beta version).

Project Atlantic Vortex model (beta version) called "Vortex NAHZ" for North Atlantic Hurricane Zone was the 1st Windows interface software programmed by initial PAV Team back in 2001.
Mainly working on a data base of weather data input, gradients, and various equations (mecanics of fluids), it calculated different parameters of the cyclone with an increment of +3 hours from the initial Run-time (corresponding to time 0) until some 48 hours out in the future. 10 varients would be processed giving some possible variations in the oceanic and atmospheric data input, thus 160 calculations were done for one parameter (the cyclone's position for example).
Basically 5 parameters were processed (Latitude and Longitude, Motion speed, Vortex speed and associated air pressure.)
Over 800 calculations were done in a few minutes and interpretated by us, a work that would have taken a few good hours !
